| VIEC was established by Ms. Vivienne Porter in 1997 in New Delhi, India.
Ms. Porter has considerable experience in education both as a teacher, Director of an English Language Centre and Director of International Centres at various Australian Universities (Griffith University, University of Western Sydney). At the early stage of her career Ms Porter became an accredited IELTS tester as the Director of studies at the then Northern Territory University ( now Charles Darwin University
Ms Porter’s vision was to establish an Educational Agency representing reputed institutions only. The agency has strong ethics and provides comprehensive service to prospective students wishing to study abroad.
Over the years, because of its strong ethical approach, VIEC has built an excellent profile and has high credibility in the education and student recruitment industry.
VIEC was one of only 7 agencies in India which was granted the authority by the Australian High Commission to asses student visa applications for Australia. This was under the Pilot Project for India. This entailed thorough checking of academic and financial bona fides and documentation before recommendation of visa issuance.In Addition VIEC now have permission for E Visa.
When Trade New Zealand first began marketing their programs in India, The New Zealand Immigration department in conjunction with the NZ Trade office did a thorough check on agents operating in India and only selected 7 to represent their institutions. VIEC was amongst these first 7. Recently the British Council registered VIEC as a UK representative in India. VIEC have only recently begun representing UK Universities. |
